The City of Union currently has a vacancy for the position of a licensed Biological Wastewater Treatment Operator. This position involves laboratory, technical, maintenance, and groundskeeping work in the operation of a biological wastewater treatment facility. Applicants must be able to perform a variety of tasks and be willing to work in a team environment.  Must be able to obtain an “A” biological wastewater treatment license within the required time frame which will be dependent on current certification level.
 
Preferred requirements include a high school diploma with vocational/ technical training in the field of wastewater treatment operations, or any equivalent combination of education and training. Must have a valid S.C. driver’s license (CDL preferred).

Salary Range - $37,313- $53,240

PUBLIC NOTICE

The City of Union has two (2) positions open on the Board of Zoning Appeals for an expired term. These positions are for three-year terms to expire December 31, 2026

The Board of Zoning Appeals works closely with the City of Union Planning Department.

This board hears and makes decisions on appeals dealing with the City of Union Zoning Ordinance.

There are also four (4) positions open on the Building Appeals Board for expired terms. These positions are for four-year terms to expire December 31, 2027.

The Building Appeals Board works closely with the City of Union Planning Department. This board hears and makes decisions on appeals dealing with the City of Union Code of Ordinances and International Building Codes.

These positions are appointed by the Mayor and City Council.
